Durham’s Ramside Hall Hotel has come up with the right blend for visitors.

The hotel’s £8million The Spa at Ramside has joined forces with award-winning London-based loose tea specialist Camellia’s Tea House to offer a selection of its blends, including the specially-created Ramside Revive, which is designed to rejuvenate both body and mind.

The family-run company, which has won 12 Gold Taste awards, hand-blends teas and infusions, using health promoting ingredients, sourced from around the world for their holistic benefits.

Among the familiar blends on offer are lemon, which invigorates; peppermint, to aid digestion and circulation and soothe cold symptoms and chamomile flower, which is widely used to calm the nerves and soothe the symptoms of allergies and eczema.

However more exotic blends will also be on offer, including chocolate tea, white rose and raspberry and Earl Grey, mixed with oranges and oil of bergamot.

Ramside Revive, which uses white tea leaves, apricots, marigold and mullein flowers, yellow rose buds, lemon peel and ginger, is believed to be rich in anti-oxidants and designed to be drunk hot or iced.

We believe the spa should be as much about wellness as it is about pampering. Our partnership with Camellia’s Tea House reinforces that commitment.

“The teas are designed to promote a number of health and wellness areas, so the staff will be able to tailor a client’s drink to their specific needs, enhancing their spa visit,” said Camellia’s Tea House co-founder Lubna Madan.

“It is great that a spa of this quality is thinking so clearly about how it can elevate its tea offering to be part of the client’s journey.”

Along with the latest facilities and an extensive range of facials and body treatments, staff at the Spa at Ramside have undergone specialist Wellness for Cancer training to help them support those living with the illness.

“We believe the spa should be as much about wellness as it is about pampering,” said spa director, Jill Russell.

“Our partnership with Camellia’s Tea House reinforces that commitment.”

“People visit us for many different reasons and offering them a tea designed specifically to address their needs will only enhance their visit.”
