Officers raid Peterlee property in connection with crack cocaine and heroin supply

An investigation is ongoing after more than 20 police officers raided a property in Peterlee following intelligence that suggested crack cocaine and heroin were being supplied in the town.

The officers from Peterlee Neighbourhood team and intelligence department came together earlier on Friday morning (February 5) to execute a Magistrates warrant at an address in Lancaster Hill.

The raid took place following intelligence which suggested crack cocaine and heroin were being supplied to the town and Durham Constabulary has confirmed an investigation is now ongoing.

Sergeant Dave Watson, who led this morning’s warrant, said: “We want to send a strong message to those within our communities that dealing drugs will not be tolerated and we will take action.
