Your Seaham soldier pictures

Have your say

IT has captured the hearts of residents – and certainly the imagination of photographers.

Hundreds of people have flocked to see the new statue of a First World War soldier at Seaham’s Terrace Green since it was installed last week.

The Echo is backing a campaign to make the artwork – Eleven ‘O’ One – a permanent feature, with supporters now trying to raise the £100,000 to make that possible.

Snap-happy readers have been quick to send in their own photographs of the steel sculpture – nicknamed Tommy – such as this one (pictured above) that Sharon Leighton took featuring her dog Toby.

And thanks to a new online tool, we are making it easier for you to help share them too.
