May I put in my pennyworth in over the controversy of a female Dr Who?
Thank you, quite a few people thinks Dr Who shouldn’t be a woman but I disagree as the good Doctor is never called Mr which denotes that he would definitely be a male and therefore be a male name, much the same as Mr James Bond and Lord Greystoke, or to give him his alternative title, Tarzan have male titles so they cannot be a female much the same as in other well known names like Clyde cannot be Bonny and Bonnier.
But to come back to Dr Who, doctor is a non-gender specific title much the same as Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman.
So I say that the character can be a woman.
Perhaps the critics are worried that she can’t park the Tardis.
