Have your say

Referring to a letter onFriday, November 20, entitled ‘Abuse of new work scheme’ by Gordon, from Sunderland, Community Work Placements use companies of “community benefit” ie charities and not for profit organisations, who do not tend to pay wages to staff.

Private companies can be used on the contract but this has to be approved by DWP. There needs to be a benefit to the community and they need to prove it.

Also Gordon states that this is mandatory, unpaid labour, how?

A single person living alone in a Gentoo property can get housing benefit and council tax benefit then add on your JSA your will be coming out near enough at minimum wage each week.
