Once again another Sunderland library has gone.
In fact, the whole building, on Hylton Castle estate, has disappeared off the face of the earth.
The most unusually shaped building has been on the estate since not long after we moved up here many years ago and was well used.
It was then used for the community and then it was up for sale for many months.
I always thought it might make a nursery school for infants.
I’m sure I won’t be the only one who might miss the round, domed roof building.
It could have been used for lots of different types of businesses but ‘apparently’ about nine houses are going to be built on it.
What a waste of a good building.
