Sunderland’s museum’s refurbished gift shop an ‘utter waste of money’

editorial image

I have seen the refurbished gift shop entrance to the city centre museum.

What an utter waste of money.

It was alright as it was.

The main difference is that you can’t go directly to the library or anywhere else in the building from this entrance like you used to do.

You have to walk right round the merchandise to access the main corridor.

What a faff on, especially for people with a wheelchair or pushchair.

Also, I can’t see many people wanting to buy Grayson Perry’s overpriced cards etc.

What on earth will they waste money on next?
