I would like to thank the people of Millfield, Thornholme, and the city centre for giving me their support in the local elections on May 5.
It is a real honour to be elected, and I will continue to work hard and keep in touch over the next four years. Sunderland is never going to be a Conservative-voting city, and we desperately need a stronger opposition voice to hold our council to account.
The local Lib Dems will be that voice: challenging unfair council decisions and wasteful spending.
I got to know many residents well over the past year, and I look forward to working with local people to stand up for our area and to improve our city.
Councillor for Millfield and Thornholme
