I read with interest in the Echo (August 19) that the Siglion masterplan, features a mix of uses for the five-and-a-half hectare Vaux site, including offices, retail, restaurants and cafes, a hotel, residential apartments, car park and leisure spaces.
This is fine, but with all due respect, anyone can plan the site with whatever they want to put on it, no one has mentioned where the finance for the project is coming from, and without this, you have nothing.
That is why we have been waiting 15 years for something to happen on the Vaux site.
Nobody wants to invest.
So grass it over and put some flower beds in, so it looks tidy instead of the mess we’ve had for the past 15 years.
