I read with interest Julie Elliott’s article on January 27 on new pension rules claiming to support this campaign and the fact she would be pressing the Government to act, so that it properly alleviates the problems it has caused.
Unfortunately, my wife received a letter from our MP Julie Elliott stating that she will not be attending the debate in Westminster Hall on February 1 as she has other commitments in her diary. What these commitments are she does not say, but they must be more important than looking after the rights of many of her constituents.
My wife and I are lifelong Labour supporters but it is looking less and less likely we will be voting Labour at the next election because of poor representation from our local and national Labour MPs.
