Criticism is justified

It’s very rare I agree with any politician or councillor, more so the Conservative ones.

However, Councillor Howe’s criticism of Sunderland Train Station was justified.

My family went on a train journey recently and as we were waiting inside our glorious station, I took a look around to see what he was going on about.

It was filthy and it stunk to high heaven. The glass ceiling was covered in bird droppings and general filth. The first impression anyone from outside Sunderland coming into our city via the station must wonder what the rest of our city is like.

The one thing in its favour is there are no beggars or unfortunates sleeping rough as its obviously to filthy for them.
