Church is out of touch

The recent intervention by 84 Church of England Bishops in the migrant crisis shows how utterly out of touch these people are and why the churches are relatively empty.

Each Syrian migrant will cost the tax payer £24,000 a year in the first year alone so this tranche of 20,000 migrants will be a total cost £480million in year one.

The idea that we can absorb another 50,000 is absolute madness.

The Church of England is one of the richest organisations in Britain so maybe the Bishops can start channelling some of that wealth to the Treasury to alleviate the burden on the poor tax payer.

One thing is for sure none of these migrants will be living near the palatial palaces.
