Your pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Sunderland

Hundreds of people watched on as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in the city.

You waved hello, shook hands and (most importantly) took lots of fantastic pictures to share with us.

During the royal visit, the couple visited The Fire Station to meet a number of community groups and watch some special performances.

They were also taken to meet schoolchildren and workers at Northern Spire - the newest addition to Sunderland’s skyline.

It truly was a special day.
