WWT Washington Wetland Centre set for a splashing time over the half-term holidays

Grab your wellies for an outdoor activity during the February half-term as the 2019 Puddle Jumping Championships guarantees fun whatever the North East weather.

WWT Washington Wetland Centre hosts the event from Saturday, February 16, to Sunday, February 24.

There will be a practice zone before challenging family and friends to a race around the Welly Boot Camp obstacle course complete with splashtastic puddle jumping finale.

Plus enjoy a host of other activities including welly wanging, a welly shy and ceramic welly boot decorating.

WWT Washington centre manager Gill Pipes said: “We know that children love nothing more than to splash about in puddles, so we’re giving them the chance to channel their inner splasher with this fun event.”
