Dates for the World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) 2017 events in the UK have been released by organisers, with an event confirmed for "Newcastle Gateshead" on July 1 - though exact details are yet to be released.

The event was formed a decade ago as a peaceful protest with the mission "to deliver a vision of a cleaner, safer, body-positive world”.

While event organisers aim to 'highlight the vulnerability of cyclists as well as the unique dangers they face, and promote healthy body image”, there are some that feel it’s a step too far.
