If he was up to date he would have known that the Station Museum closed in March 2017. That is 12 months ago now.

It is going to be re-opened some time in the summer as the Fans’ Museum.

It is the brain-child of Michael Ganley as a way of showing his many items of football memorabilia.

Some of us have voluntarily given up our time to scrape and sand down walls, remove various items and get it ready to be decorated, carpeted etc.

We are now nearing the stage where we can start painting.

Not only is it going to be a football museum, but there will be a café, bar and shop.

It is also going to be a community museum, catering for different types of groups meeting there.

We will also go out to various places with our exhibits.

The ethos of the museum is not just to look at exhibits, but to try on strips etc, which have all been worn by players in games.

It will be a hands-on museum. How many of them have you visited?

Instead of writing letters complaining about our city, why don’t you come along and volunteer to help?

You never know, you might just enjoy it.
