South Bents Townswomen’s Guild Committee meets tomorrow in Whitburn Methodist Church hall at 6.30pm, prior to craft class at 7pm. Next Wednesday, May 25, the Chairman’s At Home luncheon will be held in the Britannia, Cleadon, meeting at noon for 12.30pm. There will be no evening Guild meeting.
Whitburn Local History Group will meet on Friday in the Barnes Institute from 2pm to 3.30pm. Brian Hastings will talk about Whitburn 1720 to 1840. Admission is £2 and all are welcome to attend.

Coffee mornings take place every Saturday in Whitburn Methodist Church hall and Churches Together Lunch Club is on Thursdays from noon to 1.30pm. Soup, sandwiches, salad, sweet, unlimited tea or coffee and stimulating conversation are available for £3 and all are welcome.
