The afternoon will see a mix of cloud cover and sunshine. The temperature will reach its peak of 6C by 2pm, but feel a couple of degrees colder.

“Later on in this period, the most unsettled weather is likely to remain in the north, where some hill snow is possible.

“Temperatures will generally be a little below average at times.”
