Hour-by-hour forecast as Storm Dennis is set to bring 'very strong winds' to Sunderland

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning of “very strong winds” for Saturday, February 15, Sunday, February 16 and Monday, February 17 when Storm Dennis is due to hit.

The warning will come into force at around 10am on Saturday and shows no sign of leaving until 12pm on Monday.

Forecasters have warned that the blustery winds could cause disruption.

The Met Office forecast for Saturday, February 15 said: “After a dry start, turning very wet with gales by late morning due to Storm Dennis. Heavy and persistent rain likely at times, especially across the Pennines, and continuing overnight. Maximum temperature 12 °C.”
