Waves crash into coast off Sunderland following Super Moon appearance

Waves have been crashing into the coast off Sunderland thanks to windy weather.

It follows the appearance of Wednesday's Super Moon, which can often cause high tides.

According to the Met Office, weather around Sunderland is expected to be clear for the rest of today and tomorrow.

There will be highs of 6oc tomorrow and lows of 1oc.

There is more chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday however.
