Glenn Greenhalgh, from Sunderland, has always had a interest in photography.
Wanting to take it up as a hobby, he decided to buy a Quadcopter and take to the skies to create picturesque images of the North East.
He said: “I took the photo of Sunderland on the footbridge behind B&Q and, using my remote control, I was able to fly the drone over the centre to take the image.”
Glenn, 33, bought the DJI Phantom Quadcopter drone in February.
Practicing the mechanics of the drone, he bought the camera in March and started to take aerial images.
Working for the National Power grid, taking photos with his Quadcopter is only a hobby.
Describing himself as an amateur, he added: “The more advanced drones have a screen attached to the remote control monitor that allows you to see the images that you are taking.
“Because I don’t have that screen, the photos that I take are guesswork.”
Glenn’s work can be found on You Tube and on social media.
