WATCH: Man arrested after 200 cannabis plants found at his Sunderland home

A man has been arrested after police found 200 cannabis plants in his Sunderland home.

Officers were called to an address in Zetland Street, in Roker, this morning, and found the cannabis farm.

Police found around 100 mature plants and a further 100 small plants in the house and a man was arrested.

The value of the plants is estimated at being around £100,000. Officers are currently on scene.

A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “Police were called to an address in Zetland Street in Sunderland earlier this morning.

“Officers attended and found a cannabis farm. Around 100 mature plants and 100 small plants were found.

“A man has been arrested.”
