THE family of a missing Sunderland granddad have today made an emotional appeal to anybody who knows what happened to him to come forward.
Hendon man Robert Hutchinson was last seen at his Corporation Road home by his daughter Paula on the morning of June 23.
He was reported missing three days later and has not been since.
Paula, 31, who today spoke at a press conference alongside her brother Gavin, 35, said: “It’s been nearly eight months now and not knowing what’s happened to him is an awful feeling.
“I believe in my heart that somebody knows where he is.
“People don’t just disappear.”
Police have renewed their appeal to trace Mr Hutchinson and officers are urging anyone who has seen him, to come forward.
He is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, stocky and with grey, short hair.
He was last seen wearing knee-length shorts and a short sleeved checked shirt.
Mr Hutchinson has an ear piercing in his left ear.
He was last seen driving a blue Nissan Micra registration number LT03 0ZJ, which was found abandoned in Stewart Street, off Chester Road, weeks after he went missing.
