Former Sunderland star Julio Arca showed he still has some of the old magic with a brilliant goal for South Shields at the weekend.

Julio Arca celebrates his equaliser for South Shields

Arca returned to the Shields side, stepping off the bench in the second half to help inspire a comeback from 2-0 down against Sunderland RCA in the Northern League.

In front of a Mariners Park crowd of 972, a corner was half-cleared to Arca, 25 yards out.

He took a touch to get the ball out of his feet before whipping a superb effort into the top corner to spark scenes of joyous celebration.
