The actor, who played Boycie in the BBC sitcom, posted a message from "the Seaburn lads" following Newcastle's drop into the Championship.

In the video, he says: "Good day to you all, Boycie here.

"This is a message for all you Newcastle fans out there.

"I hope you enjoy your trips to Burton Albion, Rotherham and Bristol City next season.

"This is a kind message from the Seaburn lads. (Laughs). That's nice, isn't it?
