An event to provide support for the Royal British Legion is to be held in Peterlee later this month.
There will be a 1940s and 50s theme at the fundraising night, which will take place at Acre Rigg Social Club, in Wardens House, Lowhills Road, on July 23.
Rachel Harvey will perform songs from the 40s, while DJ Terry Rowland will put on a 50s disco.
Tickets cost £3.50, with all of the proceeds going to the Royal British Legion, who support the serving and ex-service community, as well as their families.
Adrian Tait, event organiser, said: “This is shaping up to be an excellent night, with lots of interest in it so far. Depending on how successful it is, we may look to do similar events on a yearly basis.
“The Royal British Legion has been invited, and there are going to be four to six veterans there.

“The theme is 40s and 50s, so it will be a bit of a vintage event, and we couldn’t have picked a better charity.”
The event will start at 7.15pm, while each attendee will receive a free hot dog and snacks.
About half of the tickets have been sold so far and wearing 40s and 50s fancy dress is optional.
There will be a raffle and auctions to raise more money for the Legion, with the target fundraising figure standing at £1,200.
Mr Tait added: “The funds collected will go straight to the British Legion, with no reductions.
“We’ve already raised in excess of £600, based on the ticket sales and donations we’ve had so far.
“We’re targeting £1,200, which I think we should exceed.
“It’s one of the better and most well-known charities, and we’re delighted to be supporting it.
“Even if people don’t want to come to the event, all they would need to do is buy a poppy to support the charity.”
