With Covid cases once again on the rise, Sunderland and the rest of the North East have been moved into Tier 4 as of December 31.
It means that non-essential retailers have once again had to close.
Gyms have also had to shut their doors until further notice, and people are being asked not to leave their homes other than for essential reasons.
