Tyne Bridge targeted by graffiti vandal

Police are appealing for information after the Tyne Bridge was targeted by vandals.

Police are appealing for information after the Tyne Bridge was targeted.

Graffiti was sprayed on a number of sections of the Tyne Bridge sometime between 7.29pm and 7.39pm on November 8.

The bridge was covered with 15 large yellow tags which were sprayed onto the structure with the words ‘DVS,’ ‘SPUD’ and ‘SHUC.’

Vandals have targeted the Tyne Bridge.

A person was seen walking across the bridge at the time of the damage who was wearing dark clothing with the hood pulled up.

They were carrying a white plastic carrier bag and seen with a yellow can of spray paint.

The bridge was busy with traffic at the time the damages happened and officers are appealing for anyone who might have seen anything, or with any information, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 448 09/11/16.
