Two-vehicle crash on A1 near Washington
Two cars have crashed on the busy A1 road this morning.
It happened on the southbound side of the carriageway near the A194 junction between Birtley and Chester-le-Street.
The North East Live Traffic account tweeted: "Two vehicle RTC on the A1 southbound near the A194 junction between Birtley & Chester le street."
No details have been given over any injuries at this stage.
