A YOUNG boy was hurt after a collision between a car and a taxi.

The youngster was treated for minor injuries after the incident in Church Street North, Roker, Sunderland.

He was travelling in a red Nissan, which was involved in a smash with a Fiat taxi.

Police and paramedics attended the scene of the accident at 4.25pm on Friday.

Meanwhile, firefighters had to cut a man from his car after a collision in Durham City.

The man, who suffered a neck injury, was trapped after a crash involving two cars near St Anne’s Court, off the A690, just after 4pm on Friday.
