Tributes to councillor who served community for 51 years
Coun Robin Todd MBE passed away in hospital on Saturday, aged 74.
He was elected to Easington Rural District Council in 1964 and had represented the area as a Labour councillor ever since.

Hide AdAged just 25, he became national agent to the renowned Seaham and Easington MP Manny Shinwell, who oversaw the nationalisation of the pits.
County council deputy leader Coun Alan Napier, who led District of Easington Council with Coun Todd, said: “Robin was a great politician and great friend.
“He never lost sight of his fundamental beliefs and principles and rose to become one of the most respected councillors in recent times.”
Coun Todd is survived by wife Sheila, children Michael and Julie and one grandchild.
