Quad bike rider hunted after hit-and-run crash with Sunderland cyclist

A QUAD bike rider who rode off after crashing into a cyclist in Sunderland is today being hunted by police.

The accident happened at about 2.45pm yesterday on a cycle track between Leechmere Way and Tunstall Hill.

Four cyclists were riding along the track when a quad bike collided with one of them.

The victim, a 57-year-old woman, suffered bruising and was left shaken.

Police are carrying out inquiries to trace the rider of the blue quad bike involved.
