Metros resume in Sunderland after service suspension due to failed train
Metro trains running across the Sunderland area returned to service on Sunday, February 2 following an earlier suspension.
Trains were halted between Park Lane and South Hylton for a number of hours on Sunday due to a failed train at Pallion.
A message posted on the @My_Metro Twitter account at around 6.50pm apologised for any inconvenience and confirmed that services were back in action.
Passengers faced residual delays of between 20 and 40 minutes in the aftermath of the suspension.
