Driver taken to hospital after vehicle overturns in road traffic collision on A19
A driver has been taken to hospital after a car overturned on the A19 near the Seaton Lane junction on Thursday evening.
The emergency services were called to the A19 Seaton Lane junction at 6.17pm this evening to reports of a road traffic collision.
The North East Ambulance service attended and a driver was taken to the Sunderland Royal Hospital.

Hide AdA spokesperson for the ambulance service said: “We were called to a road traffic collision on the A19 Seaton Lane.
"We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and the ambulance hazardous area response team.
"One patient was transferred to Sunderland Royal hospital.”
Durham Constabulary have been contacted for further information.
Highways England said the accident has since been cleared and the carriageway has re-opened.
