Appeal for witnesses as man remains in hospital after bus collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured following a collision with a bus in Sunderland.

At 2.34pm yesterday police received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus on Chester Road prior to the junction with Kayll Road.

Emergency services attended and a man, aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A section of the road was closed for a short time.
