A two-vehicle collision on Thursday, February 11, had caused one lane of the A19 southbound to be blocked at the A1018 Seaham exit.

According to North East Live Traffic on Twitter, the recovery process of the vehicles has now taken place and the road has fully reopened.

The tweet said: “A19 southbound, all lanes are open prior to the A1018 Seaham exit after an earlier collision and recovery ops.”
