A19 closures for weekend as work on new Testo's junction continues

The A19 will be fully closed inone direction in South Tynside this weeked, with a partial close on the opposite carriageway.

The northbound carriageway of the busy road will be completely shut from 8pm this evening between the A1231 at North Hylton and the A1290 Downhill Lane as part of ongoing work.

One lane of the southbound carriageway will be closed between the A184 at Testos and the A1231.

There will also be lane closures on Testo’s roundabout.

The road is due to reopen at 6am on Monday.
