Kind-hearted staff from a training company have raised charity cash for a children’s hospice.
Around 40 colleagues from KF Training, based on Whitehouse Business Park, Peterlee, collected £300 which was donated to Grace House, in Sunderland.
The charity provides respite and a short-break facility for children and young people with complex disabilities, health needs and life-limiting conditions.
The KF Training team raked in the money at a recent masquerade ball at Seaham Hall, an event which was a thank you from bosses for all of their hard work throughout the year.
Sara O’Brien, Commercial Director at KF Training, said: “We chose Grace House as our charity of choice this year because the work they do is so important and one that is close to our hearts.
“We have raised money for the organisation in the past and we are to continue our commitment to Grace House by holding quarterly fundraising events right up until July 2016.
“We raised the funds by hosting a thank you event for our staff at Seaham Hall, where we held an end of year business brief with barbecue during the day for our fantastic team who have worked tirelessly over the past year.
“We then hosted a masquerade ball in the evening, when husbands, wives and partners, were invited along.
“In conjunction with that we decided what a great opportunity it would be to use this event to raise funds for Grace House.
“The £300 sum we managed to raise was brilliant, and the charity are thrilled with our continued support.
“Grace House are an amazing charity doing such great work making a huge difference to the lives of the children and families who use their services and we want to support their good work.”
KF Training, which was launched by Managing Director Kelly Lee in 2011, has recently undergone an internal change management and business transformation programme and are now currently in the process of a full re-brand.
