Road closed off to traffic by police in wake of collision
Police closed a road after a collision earlier on this evening.
Durham Constabulary shut off access to the A181 between Silent Bank and Byers Garth and near Old Cassop after a road traffic collision tonight, Thursday, January 30.
The force confirmed there was an ongoing incident on the route, but was unable to give any further details.
Its Road Policing Group’s special constabulary shared a photo of the road closure via Twitter and confirmed at 9.15pm it had been reopened.
