Police called to three-vehicle crash on A19 in Sunderland

Officers were called to an incident on the A19 northbound, just before the North Hylton A1231 junction at 12.15pm on Saturday, December 7.

There are reports that two of the vehicles have hit the central reservation and are awaiting recovery.

There are no substantial road closures in place but traffic is slowing around the area.

Police have confirmed that no one was injured.
