There are service-wide delays and disruption on the Metro.

Those heading out and about can expect delays and disruption across the Metro system tonight (Saturday, December 14).

A number of trains have been cancelled as a result of reduced driver availability, following the ongoing industrial strike action by the RMT union, which began on Sunday, December 1.

Trains are running to all stations, but Tyne and Wear Metro has described the service as “poor” and warned that trains will be busier than usual, with some gaps between services.
