SUNDERLAND businesswoman Katie Bulmer-Cooke passed her trial by video to make it through another round of The Apprentice.

The 28-year-old fitness instructor, from Ashbrooke, and her rivals on the BBC1 show were last night challenged to create their own online video channels for YouTube.

And her chances of winning the show rose after a shock triple elimination in the fourth episode.

Social worker Stephen Ugoalah, 29, was axed along with Ella Jade Bitton and Sarah Dales.

Ugoalah, from Canada, found himself in the boardroom after Team Tenacity failed in their task to create their own video channel to go live on YouTube, and was chosen by project manager Bitton to face Sugar alongside Dales.

Despite defending his passion, Sugar told him he was a “lost cause”.

Dales, a former PA and hypnotherapist, admitted she was “shocked” to leave the show.

Katie scooped the New Business of the Year trophy at the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Business Awards two years ago for her online personal fitness and training business The Little Black Dress Club.
