Thousands turned out to enjoy a weekend of entertainment at the annual Peterlee Show.
The 43rd Peterlee Show held on Helford Road playing field on Saturday and Sunday, was another success, delighting crowds with a range of musical performances and showcasing horticultural and sporting talent.
Activities got under way at 11am with music forming a strong part of the celebrations throughout the show, with performances from Soul Central, Mia Dean and headliners The Arrival.
Dancers and cheerleaders also took to the stage and visitors took part in a horticultural open show.
“It was fabulous, and thousands of people turned out,” Mayor Mary Cartwright said. “The event is a big part of Peterlee.
“It was cold on the morning, but by 11am the sun came through and it was a lovely afternoon.
“The fireworks were very impressive and the bands were a mix of rock and roll; some local bands and The Arrival, who were very popular – I think people came out specifically to see them.
“People were on the dance floor and it was fabulous to watch.”
The Mayor also wanted to thank everyone for tidying up rubbish throughout the event.
