The 13-year-old, from Castletown, was one of 36 youngsters in the running to win the ITV talent show after McFly lead vocalist and guitarist Danny Jones picked her to be part of his team during the blind auditions when she sang Sigrid’s Don’t Kill My Vibe.

However, despite an amazing performance as part of a trio in the battle round tonight, the Wearside teen missed out on clinching a much sought after semi-final place.

Jessie, a student from Castle View Academy, who was paired with two other young hopefuls, Harry and Lola, performed Haim’s Want You Back.

All three were praised for an amazing performance, but it was Harry who was chosen to go through to the next round.

Jessie said: “I loved working with these two, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to perform with.”
