Teenage girl taken to hospital after being hit by car
A girl was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car this afternoon.
The teenager was struck at the junction of Manor Way and Yoden Way in Petelee around 3pm.
The North East Ambulance Service attended and took her to Sunderland Royal Hospital suffering from suspected leg and hip injuries.
She is not believed to have been badly hurt.
