A SCHOOLGIRL has appeared in court over an alleged double stabbing.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of attacking a 36-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl at an address in Hendon, Sunderland, last Friday.

The girl was not asked to enter a plea to two offences of wounding with intent during a hearing at Sunderland Youth Court yesterday.

Prosecutor Lee Poppett asked for the case to be adjourned for two weeks so further investigations could take place.

The teenager was granted conditional bail and was ordered to live and sleep at an address given to the court until a hearing that will take place next month.
