Tax evasion case adjourned

A COURT case against a man accused of tax evasion has been adjourned.

Joseph Dellett has been charged with fraudulent evasion of income tax and National Insurance contributions of £18,191.

The 50-year-old is also alleged to have evaded VAT payments of £38,151.

It is alleged the offences took place between January 2008 and June 2011.

The case against Dellett, of Cranberry Square, Hylton Castle, was adjourned at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court until April.
