Suspected drugs recovered from vehicle on A19

Suspected cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of £70,000 has been recovered from a vehicle on the A19, Crathorne earlier today, police have confirmed.

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply and she currently remains in custody.

Detective Inspector Stephen Kappel said: “I am extremely pleased with the results of today as it has removed drugs that would have caused harm to the Cleveland area.

“£70,000 is an excessive amount of drugs to stop from being sold on the streets."
