Sunderland's Roker Pier closed due to adverse weather conditions
Roker Pier is currently closed to members of the public due to adverse weather conditions.
Blustery conditions has led to the pier being closed off this morning and into this afternoon.
The pier will be reopened to the public as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
A spokesman for Sunderland City Council said: "Due to current weather conditions Roker Pier is closed to the public."
