Reports in Italy today have indicated that the Sunderland pair will receive call-ups to Italy's get-together next week, before coach Antonio Conte decides on his final squad for the summer's European Championships.

Conte has decided to hold a training camp to look at new options for his squad, before announcing his final 23-man party on Monday, May 23.

The news will come as a major boost to striker Borini, who has persistently made clear his determination to force his way back into the Italy squad after he has been out of the fold since Euro 2012.

Mannone has only ever represented his country at Under-21 level, but has been in excellent form over recent weeks during Sunderland's bid to remain in the Premier League.
